Melbourne Airport (also known as Tullamarine Airport) lies 19 kilometres north of Melbourne’s core business centre. From 6 a.m. to midnight, departures are every 10 minutes. Between the hours of 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., departures are every 15 or 20 minutes. The SkyBus travel takes about 20 minutes on average. SkyBus does not require reservations. Purchase your tickets either online or at the SkyBus ticket booths at Melbourne Airport or Southern Cross Station. Tickets are good for three months after purchase. SkyBus does not accept the Myki smart card.

By Train:

There is no direct train or tram service connecting Melbourne Airport with the city centre at this time. As a result, SkyBus is the quickest and most convenient mode of public transportation between the airport and the city. Take the Craigieburn line train from Melbourne and get off at Broadmeadows station if you truly want to take the train.

By Taxi:

Airport has designated taxi ranks on the ground level in front of each terminal. The cost of a taxi from the airport to Melbourne’s city centre is around $60. You can arrange for a taxi to pick you up from the airport ahead of time.

By Chauffeur:

Melbourne Airport is 20 kilometres from Melbourne’s central business district. Companies that rent cars have processes in place that allow you to be invoiced automatically if you use the vehicle on any toll roads.

By Air:

From Melbourne Airport, Heli-Express provides a helicopter service to the city.Passengers are met at Melbourne Airport and chauffeured for two minutes to a neighbouring heliport, where they board a luxury Agusta twin-engine helicopter. The journey takes only 4 minutes, and guests are dropped off at a heliport beside the Yarra River. In the passenger lounge, complimentary refreshments are offered, and connecting transportation can be arranged. During daylight hours, the helicopter service transports between 2 and 6 persons per flight.
